Somewhere…
For Maceo Parker
You spread the love
the A tones gleaning off
your brass—everlasting
smile
your joy
screaming like tenor notes—
evaporating
into the see-ness
of every ocean
of every street corner
of every cool night’s shade,
sailing (with us)
over
the rainbow.
