Stop the Clock At fourteen I lost faith in men when my father told me he’d be back. All he left was his golden clock. It sat on the living room shelf ringing by the hour. For six years I watched its pendulum swing left to right singing to my ears. Even years after I left that clock will not stop until he returns.
