Issue 14 Editor’s Note

Botched, Chris Gavaler

Editor’s note

An undercurrent of time flows through the writing chosen for this new issue of The Petigru Review. It’s fitting that after a year one can describe as (insert any word you would normally use for crazy then multiply it by ten), we choose to reflect on the past in an effort to make sense of the present in hopes of bettering the future.

The uncertainty in our world makes taking solace in literature more comforting. In this issue, writers craft a means to deal with change, growth, and the unexpected. It is our hope that readers find stories and words for a journey toward moving on, pushing through, and making the most of what we have where we are.

Perhaps sometime soon, the world will catch up. Until then, enjoy.
