Where The Petals Fall\n\n\n\t\t\t\u843d\u82b1\u751f (peanut): the life (\u751f) that begins where the petals (\u82b1) fall (\u843d)  \nFlower\n\nPeanut blossoms \nearly in the morning\npollinate themselves\nand fall\n\nSeeds will grow \nunderground, underneath \nwhere the flower \nperishes knowing\nthe daughter \nwill never \nknow her mother.\n\n\nMother\n\nHalf an orphan, in bed.\nI never knew my mother\u2019s mother\nwho sang and laughed.\n\nSitting at the desk,\nI read \u201cBeing a Flower\u201d\nlate at night.\n\nNo other way of being but be a flower\nThe flower pushes back \nwithout losing its shape<\/em>\n\n\nDaughter\n\nMother no longer leaves the futon.\nToday, my son came home \nmonsters in his head.\n\nI clean the floorboard on my hands and knees.\n\n\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

A 2018 Pushcart nominee, Miho is the author of two collections of poetry, “Today, Fish Only\u201d (2014) and “Move Over, Bird” (2019) published from Math Paper Press. She leads haiku\/linked-poem workshops locally and (inter) nationally at locations including Pat Conroy Literary Festival, Harvard Art Museum, Shanghai Literary Festival, Writers.com<\/a>, and local schools.
